Maxwell - De Witte equations for vacuum.---[ return home ]

By non rigorous combinaison of the empirical laws of electricity and magnetism, James-Clerk Maxwell has derived for the first time in 1873 the well-known following equations for the interdependant behavior of the electric and magnetic fields in vacuum:

eq320...eq321...eq322...eq323

Now, in 1999, because the electron has finally been understood by me, I am going to perform a direct theoretical derivation in the ether rest frame of these equations, together with the Lorentz' electromagnetic force obtained from the study of forces between charges and from the behavior of conductors in magnetic fields: eq324

But, as in my theory, the force has not always a real meaning, more exactly, the electromagnetic interaction vector eq325 will be derived.

This nature of the electromagnetic interaction vector will be more explained elsewhere and used to derive the motion equation of electromagnetic origin only (without gravity, constant sound-speed).

After the derivation will be made in a GTWMC frame, together with the corresponding electromagnetic interaction vector.

Finally a discussion is needed about the meaning of the Maxwell - De Witte equations in a GTWMC frame where the energy propagation is not in the same direction as the Poynting vector.

I. Derivation in the rest frame.

II. Derivation in a GTWMC frame.

III. Discussion about the direction of propagation of the energy.
